How long is a second? A minute? An hour?
How long a day? A week? A month?
How old are you? How many years have you lived?
Can you really say that has lived too long?
Or when you say it, will be late enough not to live longer?
The holidays passed quickly, quick as a holiday.
Classes also passed fast, but fast as classes.
Remember when you were little?
When you stumbled to take your first steps?
Or when you stopped to see lyrics and began to read words?
Remember when you learned to ride a bicycle?
When you fell and cried for a broken foot?
Remember to have learned to add or subtract?
When you got some recovery in math?
Remember the first kiss?
First love?
Remember the Sunday afternoons with friends?
Remember when you used to play ball when you still could?
Remember your friends in the neighborhood?
Remember how it was to walk with them?
Time fucks. When we stop to remember, is because the time did not stop to warn that there isn't time to the time, that make time stops.
Today you run and play as a teenager,
Tomorrow you look at your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren running and playing.
You can't run anymore.
You can't play anymore
Grandma and Grandpa are gone.
Dad on Mom are gone.
And when less time is spent, the time has passed for you too.
